12 upcoming hindi series to binge watch on Amazon Prime Video
Amazon Prime Video is all set for an exciting 2020 or I should say, ready to add a new flavor of soup to our life.
They recently unveiled there upcoming lineup that includes 8 new Indian original series and new seasons of some popular shows including Mirzapur Season 2, Made In Heaven Season 2 and Four More Shots Please Season 2.
Listed below are the shows to look forward to in 2020.
1. FOUR MORE SHOTS PLEASE SEASON 02 – RELEASED ON APRIL 17
The girls are ready to move again. The second season has been shot in Turkey and storyline is about the chemistry between the four friends ,their relationships, work-life issues, desire, anxieties, so you can expect lots of fun, laugh and emotions. You will also see couple of new faces in this season.
2. PAATAL LOK - Release ON May 15
Udta Punjab, NH10 and Sonchiriya author Sudip Sharma’s Paatal Lok stars Neeraj Kabi, Gul Panag and Jaideep Ahlawat. This show is a crime thriller that fills in as a scathing analysis on modern India.
3. MIRZAPUR SEASON 2
Mirzapur will return with its second installment. The release is anticipated around November – December 2020. It is a a crime thriller with elements of comedy, action and romance. Season 1 was really successful and much enjoyed by the fans. As far as the story line is concerned, it will mainly revolve around Guddu taking revenge for his brother Bablu and spouse Sweety.
4. BREATHE SEASON 02 - July 10
Abhishek Bachchan will debut on Breathe Season 2 and share the screen with stars Amit Sadh and Nithya Menen. The release date is not yet declared but Abhishek Bachchan looks very promising and i am sure you are as excited to see his debut in the digital world as much as we are.
5. MADE IN HEAVEN SEASON 02
After the success of the first season, the two wedding planners in Delhi will take their operations abroad. So you can expect some grand destination weddings and how the story of the new faces with a backdrop of the wedding planners own lives plays out in this season.
6. THE FAMILY MAN SEASON 02
The much awaited ‘The Family Man’ is returning in 2020 with a second season. The lead character is played by Manoj Bajpayee as middle class man who is working secretly for an investigation company. The series has elements of thriller, drama, emotion and received an overwhelming response by the audience in the first series.
7. THE LAST HOUR
The Last Hour is a crime thriller produced by British filmmaker Asif Kapadia along with Amit Kumar and Anupama Minz featuring Sanjay Kapoor and Raima Sen. The show is shot in a pleasant slope station in the Himalayas. This is a completely new story dropping on Amazon Prime Video and will be a refresher from the continued seasons.
8. BANDISH BANDITS
Directed by Anand Tiwari (Love Per Square Foot, Bang Baaja Baaraat). The show depicted as a ‘melodic romantic tale’ between a pop star and classical vocalist. With a soundtrack formed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy, the show stars Naseeruddin Shah and Atul Kulkarni among others.
9. DILLI
Saif Ali Khan will make a Prime Video debut with Ali Abbas Zafar’s Dilli. This political thriller drama show also stars Dimple Kapadia, Sunil Grover, Mohd Zeeshan Ayub, Sarah Jane Dias and is written by Gaurav Solanki (Article-15)
10. GORMINT
AIB’s exceptionally foreseen yet much-postponed political satire at long last comes around. The show is a political drama starring Manav Kaul in the lead, along with Shikha Talsania (Veere Di Wedding) and Girish Kulkarni.
11. INSIDE EDGE SEASON 03
Inside Edge web series is based on fictional T20 cricket team Mumbai Mavericks playing a league. It takes you through the dark side of professional cricket. The second season didn’t do that well but I am sure the fans will be waiting for the third installment. The series stars Vivek Oberoi, Richa Chada, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Tanuj Virwani and Angad Bedi.
12. SONS OF SOIL: JAIPUR PINK PANTHERS
The show is docu-series of the Pro Kabaddi League team from Rajasthan ‘Japiur Pink Panthers’. The show will cover different aspects of the game and a few meeting with the players and the franchise owner Abhishek Bachchan.
