1. She

Created and written by Imtiaz Ali. The story is about a middle class Mumbai police constable Bhumi selected by Narcotics Bureau to go undercover as a sex worker, to gather intelligence about a high-profile drug smuggler named Sasya. Her journey from being under confident person coming out from an abusive marriage to carrying out an intelligence operation by exploring her sexuality is an interesting transition to look for.

2. Afsos

Released on 6 February 2020, Afsos is a dark comedy with elements of thriller. The lead character is played by Gulshan Devaiah as Nakul who is a demotivated and a depressed person, trying to suicide but fails several times, so he decides to hires an assassin to finish him off. Things change when he falls in love with a girl and  does not wants to die anymore. The series is directed by Anubhuti Kashyap who is known for her previous work for the movie Gangs of Wasseypur and Dev D.

3. Panchayat

Starring Jitendra Kumar who is well known for his character in many TVF web-series and has recently worked in the movie Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhaan. Panchayat is the story of Abhishek (Jitendra) who recently graduated and moves to a remote village in UP for a government job. The story is about the struggles of an urban man placed in rural life. It is a light-hearted series that brings a smile to your face by connecting you to rural India.

4. Jamtara

Jamtara series is based on real events compelling a phishing fraud carried by group of village youths mostly juvenile. This 10 episode series brings enough elements of drama and uncovers aimless youths thriving financially with the act of fishing. You will be impressed by performance of the entire cast.

5. Breathe

It is an Indian drama series starring R Madhavan, Amit Sadh, and Sapna Pabbi. Madhavan plays a role of father who is trying to save his 6 year old son suffering from a lung disease. Danny (Madhavan) who can go to any extent to protect his son who is in need of an organ donor. The storyline show lives of conventional men confronted with uncommon conditions.

6. Four More Shots Please

It is a story of 4 female friends in their 20’s and 30’s living in Mumbai. Despite being on different track of life, relationships issues, work-life problems, desire and anxieties. Their friendship stick them through to enjoy life as they live, love and make mistakes. The cast Kirti Kulhari, Manavi Gagroo, Sayani Gupta, Bani J. 

7. Made In Heaven

They say, “marriages are made in heaven” but how true is this? Made in Heaven is a Delhi based wedding planning company co-owned by Karan and Tara. The 9 episodes takes you through some incredible weddings crafted with beautiful scenes. It addresses many secrets and lies along with social issues likes dowry, section 377, etc.

8. Selection Day

Selection day is about two siblings Radha and Manju raised by a cricket obsessed father who wants them to be the next superstar of cricket. The story is based on novel written by Aravind Adiga’s. Their journey starts when their father move them to Mumbai to fulfill their ambition. You will amazed to see some exceptional performances.

9. Jestination Unknown

Vir Das is on a journey. A mission is to take stand-up comedy nationwide from Leh to Kumarakom. It is a comedy travel show featuring 6 episodes. You will amazed by the comedy culture within various parts of India. 

10. The Forgotten Army

Directed by Kabir Khan who is well known for his work on Ek Tha Tiger, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Phantom and Tubelight. The series is based on true events about soldiers fought for independence during World War II. It recounts the Indian National Army led by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose who marched from Singapore to Delhi to free India from British.

11. Bard of Blood

Produced by Sharukh Khan’s production house – the Red Chillies Entertainment starring Emran Hashmi. Bard of Blood is a seven episode spy thriller series based on Bilal Siddiqi’s 2015 novel. The story is about the intelligence agent, Kabir Anand, who gets back in the field to rescue agents captured by the Taliban.
